This event is for Community Action Agency Board members only. 

Join STEP President & CEO Rachelle Abbott for an interactive Community Action Agency Board Members Cohort Call focused on how relationships and engagement drive effective board service. This session will explore STEP’s approach to building and maintaining productive relationships with elected officials through regular, intentional quarterly meetings—and why those connections are critical for keeping officials informed about STEP Board priorities and agency initiatives.

Participants will also learn about STEP’s recent expansion of board committees and discuss how committee involvement can strengthen governance, increase board member engagement, and support clearer communication and shared leadership. Designed as a collaborative conversation, this cohort call invites board members to share experiences, ask questions, and learn practical strategies they can apply within their own agencies to enhance board effectiveness and community impact.

Bring your questions, share your experiences, and engage with peers who understand the important role boards play in shaping and supporting Community Action. Whether you’re looking for guidance, offering ideas, or simply listening in, this is a chance to strengthen your impact and connect with fellow board members.
